Before the end of its current term, the US Supreme Court will provide a ruling in the Dobbs v Jackson Women's Health Organization case that is expected to significantly alter the ability of family planning care facilities to provide abortion services across the US. Differences in abortion care restrictions and protections on a state-by-state basis will result in shifts in the ability of facilities to provide care, as well as changes in when and where patients are able to access services.

In order to better understand these shifts, the Society is leading #WeCount, a collaborative effort to gather information about the number of abortions provided, the gestational duration at which procedures occur, and the states from which patients travel in order to access services.

This previously recorded webinar was originally held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Speakers include Jenny O’Donnell, ScD, Ushma Upadhyay, PhD, MPH, and Alison Norris, MD, PhD discussing this collaborative effort tracking changes in provision and access.

Physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, researchers, social workers, health educators and other healthcare professionals.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe a new approach to rapid reporting during the post-Dobbs decision period.
  2. Identify one to two opportunities for collaboration around rapid reporting.
