What is measured, matters: advancing the measurement of reproductive health equity
This course explores advancements in measuring reproductive equity, focusing on strategies to assess structural racism, improve data collection for gender-diverse and immigrant populations, and enhance measurement accuracy. Faculty share best practices via examples from ongoing research, and future directions for refining reproductive health equity metrics.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:  
  1. Evaluate the impact of gender, race, and nativity inequities on reproductive health outcomes, particularly abortion and contraception, and apply this understanding to their own research practices.
  2. Apply inclusive data collection strategies for gender-diverse and immigrant populations in reproductive health research, enhancing the accuracy and comprehensiveness of their measurement tools.
  3. Integrate methods for assessing and addressing structural racism in reproductive health research, refining their measurement approaches to reflect diverse lived experiences.
  4. Identify and apply best practices in reproductive health equity measurement in ongoing and future research.
