This members-only panel, moderated by Miriam Yeung, MPA, and featuring Ashley Brant, DO, MPH; Erica Hinz, MD, MPH; and Chi-Son Kim, MD, MPH, will highlight Society members who have been the driving force of advocacy efforts at their home academic institutions. Through storytelling, panelist discussion, and Q&A, attendees will gain insight into lessons learned and acquire tips for engaging legal counsel and institutional leadership in clinical practice changes. This session will be recorded and made available on Society Education.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: 
  • Cite examples of techniques to used engage colleagues, hospital leadership, and legal counsel in driving clinical practice change.
  • Identify colleagues who can serves as allies in change efforts.
  • Compare and contrast how panelists experienced and resolved conflict.
