Detection of follicle growth and ovulation during use of contraceptive hormones was recorded in 2014 to serve as an educational resource for the Complex Family Planning and Ryan Residency Training Program communities.
This webinar was originally developed for Complex Family Planning fellows, Ryan Residency Training Program faculty, and Ob-Gyn residents.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  1. Evaluate and determine the incidence of ovulation using objective criteria for follicle growth with ultrasound and hormone levels.
  2. Distinguish between luteinized unruptured follicle and ovulation using hormonal and ultrasound criteria.
  3. Understand the limits of ultrasound and hormone measures in documenting ovarian function in hormonal contraceptive users.
